The other night I had a jewellery party. Not really something I like to do but I got excited at the thought that I could get some beautiful jewellery for half price by just throwing a party, so….I threw a party. It ended up being a lot of fun and I really enjoyed preparing for it. I made mini desserts in shot glasses, I stole the idea from the Keg but it ended up being the perfect treat for a girl’s night out.

Why didn’t I believe them…
I cannot believe how much I LOVE being a mom, and if anyone didn’t notice I am VERY PROUD of my little angel Elly. I love every moment that I get to spend with her. Everyone always says that being a mom is great but I really did not believe that it could be this wonderful – I am obsessed with every sound she makes, every little smile she gives and I just want to give her hugs and kisses all day.
But on those days when I feel extremely busy and I don’t get to give her all of the attention I would like, she is often happy to sit close to me in her Bumbo watching me cook, clean, wash dishes or do what ever it is that I need to do. I feel so lucky to have such a great girl.
Thanks Allison - I love it!
A couple of weeks ago Jesse’s step mom made Elly a wonderful car seat cover. I thought that I would use it to keep Elly warm but turns out the floral pattern on the inside keeps Elly happy for much longer which was very nice during my repeated trips to Michaels while working on Super Saturday.
Thanks Allison – I love it!

Something to blog about
I am starting this blog so that I can remember to take the time to write down many of the great moments that our family has. Elly is already three months only and I have not recorded so many of our favorite firsts, so…..please forgive me for playing a little catch up but these stories cannot go untold.
She has been a great baby; she loves to be close to me and cuddled which is great because I just can’t get enough of her even after 3 months I still want to hold her all day. When she was about a month old she would get really frustrated if you left her in the room alone and would pull her hair and start to scream because she was hurting herself and did not understand that she needed to let go – I think this explains her little bald patches now.
She started to smile around 2 ½ months and Jesse and I could not find anything more adorable. Elly always gets very excited when Jesse comes home from school and cannot stop smiling as soon as she sees him.
Elly was a ladybug for Halloween and she was so adorable, I know she will love Halloween one day but for now I think she would be happy if we skipped the whole costume thing – but Mommy just can’t get enough, I was tempted to buy ten costumes just so that I could see her dressed up.
Jesse and I feel so bless to have Elly in our life – she is so much fun and has brought such a gentle spirit into our home.
